The Game

I am right on the emotional ride for this admission games.
Sorry if I sound too obsessive with universities...

First I was accepted to Imperial London.
Then I was accepted to Fordham, New York (yay!) with scholarships.

But then, I was rejected by UCLA.
That's the only university in Los Angeles that I applied to.
There goes a city I would want to go.

Even though this doesn't mean I won't be going to LA at all
I feel down for not being granted the chance to be its citizen,
growing my networks there.

You know there's a difference between living in a city for a few years
and traveling to a city for a few days or weeks.
You might argue that I could always work in LA if I want to.
But there's also a significant disparity between living as a student
and living as a worker.
One is to learn and immerse in the city, while another is spending
days in an unknown city, which can be really lonely.

I figured out that I didn't send my IELTS to all the UCs.
So... I wouldn't be too surprised if I see a rejection for UC, Berkeley.

Later I was rejected by Yale-NUS university in Singapore.
It's okay... S'pore is not really my tea, even though it is much better
than any cities in Malaysia.
Furthermore, I didn't even send my SAT & IELTS score, which are required, to the school. So it was really OKAY for me.

Well UCLA really hurt me a lot.
Next is Berkeley, Ivy League Schools and Stanford.
Chances aren't high.
Let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
I might need to go to London after these...
but if I go to London, it only proves that I shouldn't work on US application.

...Or New York City. Who knows?
